I drew a perpetually sad woman standing in perpetual wind at perpetual dusk. The background is actually just a photo of my street.
This has been sitting on my computer for a couple weeks, and I figured if I didn’t post this now I’d never get to it. I straight-up borrowed Meg Hunt’s awesome ink texture for it. (Aaah, sorry Meg! At least… it’s not… going to a commercial purpose??)
Impossible imaginary dates.
Nostalgic.
I’m going to be at the LA Zine Fest tomorrow, just walking around and saying hi. If you find me or like, know me or whatever, I have this double-sided one page comic that I did as my alter ego Lucia Mountain, except with, like, words and stuff, because the words are monumentally mortifying and I don’t want to put them up here. (Hi dad!)
It was a fun weekend relaxation project. All right, cool.
AD Justin Morrison from the Portland Mercury asked me to do a cover and some spot illustrations of people making out for their Valentine’s Day issue, and then gave me complete creative freedom! It was a fantastically fun assignment—thanks so much, Justin!
